Q. What is the delivery time for items ordered?
A. What is the delivery time for items ordered? Orders are normally processed and shipped in three business days.

Q. What if I a have a rush order and need a corporate kit immediately?
A. A rush order can be processed overnight. The only additional charge will be the cost of overnight delivery by United Parcel Service or Federal Express.

Q. How do I check on the status of an order?
A. Our customer service representatives can provide you with information about the date your order was received, the date it is expected to ship, and the status of shipping.

 

Q. How do I establish an account?
A. Click on the application page to print out a form to establish an account. Attorneys and accountants can set up an account so that a monthly statement is received for all orders placed during the month.

Q. Can I pay with a credit card or order a kit to be shipped COD?
A. Visa or Mastercard may be used to process payment. Orders can also be shipped COD upon request. We do not honor American Express or Discover Card at this time.

 

Q. How do I know which corporate kit to order?
A. For South Carolina clients, you will need to determine if a corporation has been established as a regular corporation or as a statutory close corporation. This determination can be made by reviewing the type of Articles of Incorporation filed with the Secretary of State.

Q. What if I want a different color for the corporate book?
A. All Kitco corporate books are a royal blue in color. No other colors are available.

Q. What if I don't need printed minutes, bylaws or forms?
A. You may specify on the order form if you do not require printed minutes, bylaws and forms. Blank paper may be substituted in the corporate book.

Q. How can I correct a mistake if an incorrect name was used for the incorporation?
A. We offer a Name Change kit which may be used to order new stock certificates, a new seal insert and a new gold label for the spine of the book. The cost of a name change kit is less than a regular kit.

Q. How do I obtain articles of incorporation to form a corporation?
A. Check the website for the Secretary of State for all forms. See our links page to obtain web site addresses.

Q. How do I obtain Form 2553 to elect subchapter s status with the Internal Revenue Service?
A. Check the IRS website to download this form.

Q. How do I obtain the South Carolina C L 1 form which must accompany the articles of incorporation in South Carolina?
A. Check the Secretary of State's website or the Department of Revenue web site to obtain this form.

Q. How do I know what must be filed to form a corporation in any state?
A. Virtually every state has a website for the Secretary of State. These websites offer specific information about forming a business.

Q. Do I need an attorney to incorporate or form a limited liability company?
A. South Carolina requires the signature of a licensed attorney on the articles of incorporation. To form a LLC, however, the signature of an attorney is not required.

Q. I do not like to order by mail, email or fax. Can I talk to a person?
A. Orders may be placed by telephone at any time during business hours. If a telephone order is placed, however, a faxed confirmation order specifying the particulars of the order will be forwarded to you for approval. The confirmation must be signed and returned by fax to confirm the order. This is done to eliminate spelling errors and to confirm the order.

Q. Can I order a corporate book before a corporation is formed?
A. We suggest that a corporate book not be ordered until the articles have been filed with the Secretary of State. This eliminates the possibility that the corporate name is not available. You may wish to check the Secretary of State's website for a preliminary search of corporate names already used.

Q. How do I check the availability of a corporate name?
A. You can call the Secretary of State's office to see if a name is available. This can also be done online.

Q. Are there products that can be ordered separately? Do I have to order an entire corporate kit?
A. Any component may be ordered separately. If you have specific questions regarding orders, call, fax or email us for specific information.

Q. Do you have corporate books for every state?
A. We can process generic orders for any state but at the present time we specialize in South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia. Corporate books ordered for those states have specific minutes and bylaws which reference state law. An order placed for a corporate book for any other state will not have these state specific details.

Q. What do I do if there is an error in my corporate kit?
A. If Kitco makes an error, your order will be redone at no charge. If the error is not ours, then Kitco offers a Name Change kit which is designed to replace only the personalized items (seal, stock certificates and gold label on the spine of the book) at a lower price.

Q. Do you offer Notary Seals?
A. We can process notary seals for any state. Rubber stamps or desk seals, however, are not available.

Q. Does my corporate kit have to be shipped or can I pick it up in person?
A. We do not have a business location for walk in traffic.
